Not Too Sweet is a small beverage manufacturer based in Vancouver, Canada. The company was founded in August 2021 by Elaine Van and Cam Hoffmann. Their story dates back to 2018, however, when the duo first had a craft cola in Berlin on a hot summer day. They were intrigued with the bubbly affair, and the experience even stayed with them when they returned home to Vancouver.

They decided to create their own version of a craft soda, and after numerous failures, they ended up mixing a refreshing and tasty soft drink. They named it Canoe Cola and partnered with restaurants and cafés around Vancouver.

They quickly made a root beer as well, and the drinks were praised for being not too sweet. As they sought to further expand their line of soft drinks, Canoe Cola was renamed and rebranded as simply Not Too Sweet in August 2021.
