The small Portuguese island Madeira in the Atlantic Ocean is home to the local brewery Empresa de Cervejas da Madeira (The Madeira Beer Company) who also has a line of soft drinks under the brand name Brisa.

Brisa soft drinks has been around since 1969 and quickly launched its now iconic Brisa Maracujá with passion fruit juice. Later, flavors like orange, apple, and pineapple were added to the line.

Finally, in 2003, Brisa decided to give it a shot with their own cola!

It wasn’t for too long, however, and the Brisa Cola has since been discontinued. It was still around in 2011 but seems to have been withdrawn from the market before 2014.

It may have something to do with the fact that the parent company entered an agreement with PepsiCo to bottle their signature drink in Madeira.
