Unagi Cola (うなぎコーラ)

The Japanese never disappoints when it comes to making up crazy and weird stuff. An example of that is Unagi Cola.

Unagi (うなぎ) means eel. And yes. It is a cola with eel flavor!

A fish flavored soft drink. Wonder why we should get to 2021 before someone came up with that? Perhaps because it is one of the worst and grossest ideas ever!

I would really like to have an Unagi Cola in my collection, though I am not sure if I am brave enough to taste it.

It was reviewed by a reporter from SoraNews24 when it first came out and the title of the review says it all: Our Japanese-language reporter tries eel cola so you don’t have to.

Unagi Cola is made by Kimura Drink Co. which is based in Yoshida, Japan. The drink was introduced in June 2021.

Cola is spelled コーラ in Japanese. It does not have a particular meaning but just mimics the sound “cola”.
