Kist Kola

Here’s refreshment! was the catchphrase of the now defunct brand Kist.

In 1919 the Citrus Products Company was founded in Chicago and started making a line of citrus flavored soft drinks. Kist Kola was added to the portfolio in the early 1920s.

At some point the spelling was changed from kola to cola.

The Kist brand was purchased by Atlanta-based Monarch Beverage Company in 1966. They in return sold Kist to Leading Edge Brands in 1997.

In 2008 the Kist brand was discontinued in America but it still lives on in Panama where Coca-Cola at some point purchased the brand. Today Kist is the Panama counterpart to Fanta, using a similar logo.
