CULT Cola

CULT Cola claimed to be the “World’s strongest cola”. I am not sure how they measure that, though. CULT Cola contains 15 mg caffeine per 100 ml which is exactly the maximum level allowed for a drink without it having to have a warning against the high level. There are colas out there, however, that has an even higher level of caffeine, e.g. Volt Power Cola.

CULT Cola was launched in 2008 by CULT A/S who had been producing energy drinks since 1998 for the Danish market.

In 2019 the founder and owner of CULT sold the company to the Danish brewery Royal Unibrew. Royal Unibrew, however, already produced Pepsi for the Danish market under license from PepsiCo and did not wish to have two competing cola brands in Denmark. Royal Unibrew ceased the sale of CULT Cola in Denmark but continued to produce it for export to Germany, where it was sold in supermarkets along the border to Denmark for a few years.
