Bruun Kola

It took Anders Bruun Rasmussen 5-6 years to find just the right combination of kola, cinnamon, citrus oils, and what not to come up with the recipe of his own cola. The inspiration came from the German Fritz-kola which he tried on a holiday and thought to him self: “I could do that.”

In the summer of 2021 he was ready to place the first order for 9,000 bottles with Skanderborg Bryghus, who adds water and carbon dioxide to Anders Bruun’s homemade syrup.

In 2021 11,000 bottles of Bruun Kola where sold, and the company are hoping to be selling 200,000 bottles in 2022. Anders Bruun Rasmussen says with a glimpse in his eye that his ambition with the company is to one day to able to buy a football club.

With a sugar level of 8,8 % Bruun Kola is less sweet than most colas. The usual sugar level is 10-11 %. It is also more citrusy and has a more dense taste of cinnamon than the competitors.
