Virgin Cola

British entrepreneur Charles Branson launched Virgin Cola in 1994 in an attempt to challenge the “cola oligarks” Coca-Cola and Pepsi. The initial market was the UK and the brand quickly expanded world wide to countries such as France, South Africa, and Japan.

In 1998 Virgin Cola entered the American market but eventually withdrew.

Around 2010 Virgin Cola had disappeared most places but in 2012 it was still sold in countries like Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

In 1996 “The Pammy” was introduced. The 500 ml bottle was redesigned, inspired by the curves of supermodel Pamela Anderson who was at the height of her career.
