Wonder Pop Cola
Introduced in spring 2024, Wonder Pop Cola is part of a new generation of health-conscious sodas from Wegmans Food Markets. It is sweetened with a tiny amount of organic cane sugar—approximately 1.5 grams per 100 ml—alongside an extract from the stevia plant. Caffeine content is comparable to that of major cola brands. Produced by FedUp Foods in North Carolina, the cola is organic, prebiotic, and probiotic.
Prebiotics are dietary fibers that serve as nourishment for beneficial gut bacteria, while probiotics are live microorganisms that can help maintain or restore a healthy balance in the digestive system. Together, they support gut health, which is increasingly recognized as important for overall well-being.

Unlike conventional sodas, Wonder Pop is stocked in refrigerated coolers near kombucha, protein drinks, and similar wellness products. It is produced in small batches to ensure freshness and to reflect its repositioning as a functional beverage rather than just another soft drink.
Wegmans is a family-owned grocery chain headquartered in Rochester, New York, with stores across the Northeastern United States. Founded in 1916, the company has long emphasized high-quality private-label products and health-driven initiatives under its “Food You Feel Good About” banner.
Before Wonder Pop, Wegmans offered Wpop Cola or W Cola, a store-brand staple sold from 1991 to 2023. Marketed as a low-cost alternative to national brands, Wpop eventually fell out of favor with company leadership due to its use of artificial ingredients, including aspartame and high-fructose corn syrup. Wegmans stated that such ingredients no longer aligned with its core values and decided to phase out the product entirely.
