Waterkant Kola
Emerging in 2021 as part of the Waterkant soft drink range, Waterkant Kola is produced by Husumer Mineralbrunnen, a beverage company based in the coastal town of Husum in northern Germany. The brand name “Waterkant” refers to the waterfront in the local dialect, and the company makes no secret of its maritime roots: both the design and marketing lean heavily into North Sea imagery and regional identity.
Founded in 1996, Husumer Mineralbrunnen started out bottling mineral water and gradually expanded its product line to include flavored waters, sports drinks, and—eventually—soft drinks. The cola is available in both regular and sugar-free versions, and also as a cola-orange mix with the tongue-in-cheek name Kuddelmuddel—a German word for “muddle” or “hodgepodge”.
As part of its social engagement, Waterkant supports swimming education for children, in cooperation with the German Lifesaving Association (DLRG).
