Paul and Simon are two Parisians who had an urge for delicious soft drinks without sugar and artificial coloring. Inspired by the craft soda wave in Berlin, the duo challenged themselves to create their own recipes.

After some time spent with mixing unusual ingredients, and with finding business partners, they were ready to launched their first soft drink in March 2015. The first drink was based on starflower, and contained kola nut, and turmeric root.

More flavors were added in the following years, and in October 2019 UMÀ came out with their versions of the classic soft drinks lemon, ginger beer, tonic, and of course a cola.

The cola contains real kola nut, and as sweetener is used agave syrup.
