The soft drink manufacturer Twizza from Cape Town, South Africa began as a startup in 2003. Ken Clark, a veteran in dairy production, partnered with a colleague who had a small production of carbonated soft drinks.

The initial production of Twizza soft drinks was small but they gradually expanded and became one of the most popular brands of soft drinks in South Africa.
