Törst Real Kola

Founded in late 2019 by Ludvig Brydolf, who left a career in beer brewing to create better sodas, Törst was born out of a market need. As marketing manager Rasmus Lindgren explains, “Even though the food and beverage industry has shifted toward local and organic production, soda largely remained the same industrial product from the 1930s.” Törst launched in 2020, starting with raspberry flavor and adding six others the same year, including their Real Kola.

Törst focuses on conscious sourcing, using organic and Fairtrade-certified ingredients without artificial additives. Their Real Kola blends twelve fruits, herbs, and spices centered on the West African kola nut, balanced with unrefined cane sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, citrus, and more. A sugar-free variant sweetened with stevia and erythritol is also available.

Sustainability is a core value, reflected in the use of lightweight, fully recyclable glass bottles and plastic-free packaging.

The result is a cola that stands apart from classic colas. It seems to pair well with meals, but less so with casual snacks.
