Thy Cola
The Danish brewery Thisted Bryghus launched a range of soft drinks in 2015 under the brand name Thy. Besides cola, the range also includes flavors such as orange, lemon, and elderflower. The brand takes its name from the Thy region in northwestern Jutland.
Thy Cola is Thisted Bryghus’ first cola released under its own brand name. The brewery was a co-founder of the Danish classic Jolly Cola in 1959, which for a few years in the 1960s dominated the Danish cola market over Coca-Cola. Thisted Bryghus kept a small stake in Jolly Cola until 2024, when it sold its share to Bryggeriet Vestfyen. Thisted Bryghus continues to bottle Jolly Cola in glass bottles on behalf of Vestfyen.
Thy Cola contains 10 g of sugar per 100 ml. A sugar-free version sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame K is also available.
