Speed King Craft Cola
Phillips Soda Works, founded in 2012 and based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, is known for producing craft sodas including Intergalactic Root Beer and Spitfire Ginger Ale. The root beer has gained popularity across Canada.
In April 2017, the company introduced Speed King Craft Cola made with real kola nut and sweetened with cane sugar and dark syrup. The cola features a distinctive label depicting Marco the Monkey driving a race car in a 1950s cartoon style.
Originally sold in glass bottles, the packaging was changed to cans in 2022. The most recent public mention of the cola was on Phillips Soda Works’ Instagram in January 2025.
