SPAR is a retailer founded in The Netherlands in 1932. The company expanded into Belgium in 1947 and since the 1950s it has expanded further to become a multinational company with more than 13.000 stores in 48 countries. The headquarters are in Amsterdam.

SPAR has a line of food products under its own name, in 1995 SPAR American Cola was introduced.
