Něcojako Cola

In Prague, a small team decided in 2021 that they no longer wanted to drink imported colas and instead created their own: Něcojako Cola. The name translates loosely as “something like,” and the drink quickly made itself noticed not just by taste but also by presentation. Its label, designed by an artist rather than a professional graphic designer, depicts an open mouth with red lips and a golden tooth—an image as bold as the brand’s approach. Vegan, caffeine-free, and sweetened with real sugar, it positions itself as a local alternative to the global giants.

The company behind it, Něcojako s.r.o., is based in Prague’s Holešovice district and has expanded the concept into a small range of sodas and sparkling water, all carrying the same playful and design-driven identity. The two founders, both named Ondřej, come from gastronomy rather than the beverage industry, which may help explain why they treat cola less as a commodity and more as an experience.

Něcojako Cola is marketed with a certain cheeky charm: a refusal to take itself too seriously, paired with a clear focus on originality. Their Instagram presence highlights carefully staged bottles, quirky captions, and a tone that resonates with a young, urban audience. While still a modest player, the brand has carved out a niche in Czech cafés and specialty shops. It is not a cola trying to mimic the big ones, but rather a statement that local, stylish, and slightly irreverent can hold its own.

Něcojako translates to “something like”. Their labels really stands out from the cola crowd.
