M.A.C. Black Cola

When Krönleins Bryggeri lost the license to bottle the quintessentially Swedish Cuba Cola, they launched their own alternative: M.A.C. Black Cola. Introduced in 2020, the new cola was released under the existing M.A.C. Black name, which already included a cola-orange variant called M.A.C. Black Orange.

Krönlein’s Brewery was founded in 1836 and is today owned by the sixth generation of the Krönlein family. Based in Halmstad on Sweden’s west coast, the company produces a wide range of beer, cider, and soft drinks for the Swedish market and for export.

M.A.C. Black Cola contains 11 grams of sugar per 100 ml – in line with the bigger brands – and is most likely sweetened with Swedish beet sugar. A sugar-free version of M.A.C. Black Cola is also available, sweetened with erythritol, sucralose, and steviol glycosides. The colas are only sold in Sweden.
