Lët’z Kola
Luxembourg’s first domestically produced cola goes under the name Lët’z Kola. It was launched in 2019 through a collaboration between two well-known family businesses: the Brasserie Simon in Wiltz, established in 1824, and the food retailer La Provençale. Unlike most mainstream brands, the cola is made without artificial colors or flavorings. Instead, it is sweetened with a smaller amount of sugar than usual and flavored with spices, lime, and natural extracts.
Brasserie Simon is primarily known for its beers, but has also produced soft drinks since the 1950s. The company invested in modern equipment to make the cola, while La Provençale provided the logistical reach of Luxembourg’s largest food distributor. Together they created a product positioned as both authentically local and slightly more “natural” than the global cola leaders.
Lët’z Kola is available at festivals, in hip cafés in Luxembourg City, and through the distribution channels of La Provençale. The brand has also been tested in Saarland, Germany, suggesting that a modest expansion beyond Luxembourg is possible. So far only one version exists, but the focus has been on marketing it as the country’s first and only cola.
