Haji Cola
Haji Cola was launched in August 2009 by the Hamburg-based company Haji GmbH. It was sweetened with date syrup and based on water from the Husumer Marschland, described by the producers as “extremely tasty in its pure form”. The cola likely disappeared from the market around 2020.
The name Haji referenced traditions of pilgrimage in both Islamic and Christian cultures, and the product was marketed as bridging Orient and Occident.
In August 2010, a 0.25L returnable glass bottle was introduced, earning a Red Dot Design Award for its distinctive shape. Distribution remained limited, and social media activity ceased after July 2020, with only minor traces continuing into 2021.
It is unknown when the last Haji Cola was sold.
