Frevo Cola
The soft drink company Frevo Bebidas is based in northeastern Brazil, a region known for a distinct food culture often referred to as paladar nordeste (northeastern flavor). This culinary tradition reflects African, Indigenous, and Portuguese influences and is associated with ingredients such as seafood, tropical fruits, cassava, and regional spices.
Frevo Bebidas presents its soft drinks as adapted to these regional taste traditions and has an ambition to bring paladar nordeste to other parts of Brazil. The company was founded in 1997 and launched three flavors the same year: orange, guaraná, and lemon-lime. Frevo Cola joined the trio in early 1999.
