Mother and son Julie and Michael Pillon initially wanted to make a lunch service for the working people with healthy food brought to the desk. They figured that they needed a soft drink to go with the lunch but were unable to find anything that was not unhealthy, full of artificial color, artificial sweetener or loads of unhealthy sugar.
After a good amount of research into soft drinks they discovered that they had found a gap in the market and in 2018 they launched their own line of fruit flavored soft drinks, like passionfruit, lemon, and blood orange.
The Famous Soda Co. sodas quickly became popular but the customers kept asking for a cola – and that came in 2021.
The cola is sweetened with erythritol and stevia, and the coloring comes from purple potato and carotene.
The Famous Soda Co. cola lacks kola nut, however.
