Bona Cola (Algeria)
From the port city of Annaba comes a cola with a name rooted in local history. Bona Cola is part of the Bona brand, introduced in 2001 by International Drink Company (IDC). The brand takes its title from Annaba’s former name, Bona, and the cola joined the line alongside fruit-flavored sodas and mineral waters sometime after its launch.
IDC is a beverage manufacturer with roots dating back to 1932. The company began as a local producer in eastern Algeria and went on to become one of the country’s pioneers in modern soft drink bottling. Today it remains based in Annaba, where the Bona range has become its flagship.
Bona Cola is sold together with other Bona flavors such as lemon, pineapple, and orange.
