Boahwyld, Bayerisch, & Deit Cola

Kondrauer Mineral- und Heilbrunnen from Waldsassen in Bavaria has gradually built up some experience with cola, even if water remains the company’s mainstay. Their first attempt came in 2007 with Deit Cola, added to the existing Deit brand. It did not last long: in 2009 Deit was relaunched as an exclusively sugar-free line, and the cola disappeared—though a Deit Cola-Mix still exists.

After almost a decade without cola, Kondrauer returned in July 2018 with Bayerisch Cola, launched in both regular and zero versions. True to German tradition, a cola-orange blend is also part of the range, marketed under the name Maxl.

At the end of 2023 the company introduced a new brand, #Boahwyld. The name combines two youth expressions: boah meaning “wow,” and wyld, derived from the English wild and commonly used on social media in the sense of “crazy” or “unbelievable.” Its lineup includes Co(o)la, Co(o)la Zero, a colorless variant called Boahwyld cola geht klar, and the obligatory cola (re)mix.

The family-owned Kondrauer Mineral- und Heilbrunnen has supplied Bavaria with mineral water since the early 19th century. Its primary focus remains on mineral water, sparkling water, and flavored water, though soft drinks now also play a visible role in the portfolio.

Bayerisch Cola from Kondrauer came in July 2018.
This co(o)l lineup was launched at the end of 2023.
