The 2000s saw the rise of small distilleries that specialized in making spirits using ingredients that were both sustainable and of high quality.

The two friends Alexandrine Lemaire and Hannah Palmer from Montreal, Canada, both enjoy quality and cocktails, but found it hard to make quality cocktails since the mixers were still inferior products, full of sugar and additives.

The duo then decided to make their own quality mixers, and founded the company ¾ oz. Tonic Maison inc. in 2013. Later that year they introduced their first mixer; the ¾ oz. Tonic, followed by ¾ oz. Cola Maison in October 2014.

Cola Maison contains kola nut, and is sweetened with cane sugar.
